Negativity

For the last 3 years, my resolution for the New Year has been to not stress over the things I can't control. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, for the most part it is but my issue lately is the negativity people keep bringing around me. This, of course, I can't control but it also makes me negative and I don't know what to do about it. Here's a bit of the issues surrounding the negative person(s) in my life:

*close, close friends or relatives
*extremely sensitive
*constantly on defensive setting
*flips table on accuser like a minx

Okay, so knowing the above, how would one take care of this without causing any adverse reaction for an undetermined amount of time? I just want my positivity back without cutting ties or causing severe rifts in the relationships. Any ideas are always welcomed.

Hopefully, though, my house issues are repaired and I won't have to stress over this on a daily basis.... maybe I shouldn't get a phone? hmmm....
